Updated September 15, 2026

By accessing or using the PharmaTools.ai website, progressive web apps, mobile applications (including Patiently AI, HushMap, and Redacta), or any AI-powered tools and services (the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Services.

01

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be available on our website. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

02

Privacy and data use

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Notice, which are incorporated into these Terms by reference.

03

Access to the Services and account security

We may modify, suspend, or withdraw any part of the Services without notice. We do not guarantee continuous availability.

You are responsible for:

  • Ensuring your access to the internet and compatible devices
  • Keeping any login credentials secure
  • Providing accurate registration information where required

04

Intellectual property rights

All content, software, design, branding, and functionality within the Services are owned by PharmaTools.ai or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, distribute, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit any part of the Services without written permission.

05

06

AI tools and services

6.1 Purpose of AI tools

Our AI tools are designed to support understanding, workflow assistance, or content drafting. Outputs are generated automatically and may contain inaccuracies.

They do not provide medical advice, regulatory determinations, or professional judgement.

6.2 User responsibility

You remain responsible for reviewing and verifying all outputs before relying on them.

6.3 Compliance tools

Tools such as MedCheckr provide assistance only. You remain fully responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws, codes, and regulatory standards.

6.4 Generated content

You retain ownership of content you create using our tools. By submitting content, you grant us a limited licence to process it solely to provide the Services.

6.5 Data inputs

Some tools may process health-related or sensitive information submitted by users. Where available, identifiers may be removed on your device before processing.

You should avoid submitting confidential information unless necessary and understand that AI processing involves temporary handling by trusted infrastructure providers.

07

Subscriptions and payments

Where paid services are offered:

7.1 Subscription terms

Subscriptions operate according to the selected plan and pricing displayed at purchase.

7.2 Automatic renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.

7.3 Cancellation

You may cancel at any time. Access continues until the end of the billing period.

7.4 Refunds

Refunds are handled according to our refund policy and applicable consumer law.

7.5 One-off in-app purchases

Some mobile apps offer a single, non-recurring purchase instead of a subscription. In the Patiently AI iOS app, a free allowance of three simplifications is included; after that, the "Patiently AI Lifetime" purchase unlocks unlimited simplifications on that Apple Account with no renewal and no further charge.

These purchases are made through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms. Apple bills you, and refund requests are handled by Apple under its refund policy and applicable consumer law; we cannot issue App Store refunds ourselves. You can restore a purchase on a new device with Restore Purchases in the app's Settings.

If you bought the Patiently AI app before it became a free download (version 2.0), you keep unlimited access at no charge; use Restore Purchases if the app does not recognise this automatically.

08

Disclaimer of warranties

The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose.

09

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PharmaTools.ai will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it cannot legally be excluded under UK law.

10

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PharmaTools.ai from claims arising from misuse of the Services or violation of these Terms.

11

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12

Severability

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

13

Entire agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Notice, constitute the entire agreement between you and PharmaTools.ai.

App usage

HushMap is designed for personal, non-commercial use to help users discover sensory-friendly environments. Users must be at least 13 years old.

User-generated content

You may submit reports describing noise levels, crowds, lighting, or comfort. You retain ownership of your content but grant us a licence to display and use it to operate and improve the service.

Content must be accurate, respectful, and non-harmful. We may remove content that violates these standards.

Location services

Location access is used to provide venue recommendations. You control permissions through your device settings. Map data is provided by third-party services and may not always be accurate.

AI predictions disclaimer

Sensory predictions are estimates based on available data and user reports. Actual conditions may vary. HushMap is not a medical device or accessibility certification service.

  • Google Maps / Places
  • AI processing providers
  • Apple authentication and App Store services

Use of these services is subject to their respective terms.

Account and data

You are responsible for account security. Either party may terminate access at any time. Local data stored on your device may be lost due to device issues.

Appendix — Redacta

Redacta iOS app — additional terms

These additional terms apply specifically to the Redacta iOS application.

shield Redacta terms

App usage

Redacta is provided free of charge for personal and professional use. It runs entirely on your device and requires no account. It is intended to help reduce the risk of sharing patient identifiers with AI tools — it is a utility, not a regulated or clinical product.

Best-effort redaction — no guarantee

Redacta uses automated pattern matching to detect and replace identifiers. It may not detect every identifier, and may occasionally alter text that was not an identifier. Redaction is provided on a best-effort basis and is not guaranteed to remove all identifying or confidential information.

Your responsibility

You remain responsible for reviewing the redacted output and confirming it is fully de-identified before sharing it with any third-party AI assistant or service. You are responsible for compliance with your own organisation's information-governance policies and with applicable data-protection law (e.g. UK GDPR, HIPAA).

Not a medical device

Redacta does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or regulatory determinations, and is not a medical device or a certified de-identification service.

On-device processing and privacy

Redaction, text recognition (Scan), and reinstating run on your device. Redacta collects no data and transmits nothing off the device, as described in our Privacy Policy. Token maps used to reverse redaction are held only in memory and are never stored.

Warranty and availability

Redacta is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that it is error-free or fit for any particular purpose.

Governing law

These additional terms follow the same governing law as the main Terms of Service.

Appendix — Patiently AI

Patiently AI app — additional terms

These additional terms apply to the Patiently AI iOS and Android apps and to the web app at getpatiently.ai.

translate Patiently AI terms

What Patiently AI is

Patiently AI rewrites medical letters, test results and other clinical notes in plain language so that patients and carers can understand them. It is registered with the UK Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) as a Class I medical device under UK MDR 2002, with Medcopywriter Limited as the responsible person, for this intended purpose only.

Not medical advice

Patiently AI explains what your clinician has written. It does not diagnose, treat, recommend or replace advice from a doctor, nurse or pharmacist, and it does not add clinical facts that are not in your note. Always check with your care team before acting on anything, and seek urgent care if you are worried about your health.

Accuracy

Explanations are generated by an AI model and, although Patiently AI has been validated in a peer-reviewed study, they may occasionally be incomplete or mistaken. You should read the original note alongside the explanation and raise anything that seems wrong with your clinician.

AI processing and your consent

To produce an explanation, the de-identified text of your note is sent through our server to a third-party AI provider (currently OpenAI). Personal identifiers such as names, dates of birth and NHS numbers are removed on your device before anything is sent, and the provider does not use your text to train its models. The iOS app asks for your agreement before the first note is sent; you can read the full description in the app under About and in our Privacy Policy, section 2.3.

Trackers and reminders

The symptom, blood pressure, mood and medication diaries and the appointment and medication reminders are record-keeping tools to help you talk to your clinician. They do not interpret your readings or tell you what to do, and they are stored on your device only. Reminders depend on your device's notification settings and should not be relied on for critical doses.

Accounts and History

No account is needed. If you choose to sign in with Apple or Google, your simplified notes are kept in your account so they appear on your other devices, with the personal identifiers held in encrypted form. You can delete individual notes, or your whole account and its data, from the app's Settings.

Free allowance and purchases

The app is free to download and includes three free simplifications. Unlimited use is unlocked by the one-off "Patiently AI Lifetime" purchase described in section 7.5; customers who bought the app before version 2.0 keep unlimited access at no charge. The trackers, reminders and History are free without limit.

Acceptable use

Use Patiently AI only for notes you are entitled to read, such as your own or those of someone you care for with their agreement. Healthcare professionals using the clinician tools remain responsible for reviewing any patient-facing text before sharing it.

Warranty and availability

Patiently AI is provided "as is". Simplifying a note needs an internet connection and depends on third-party services, so we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Governing law

These additional terms follow the same governing law as the main Terms of Service.
